Flowers: Day into Night

Onto my last OOTD/OOTN post from holiday! Now that they've all been posted I think I probably should have separated them out with different sorts of posts but hey ho, nothing I can do now.

I've noticed that with these posts it seems like I only buy clothes from cheap shops, I promise I don't haha, but I can't fault the 'cheap' places I do buy if I'm honest!

I bought this amazing top from the Tesco sale, yep! I am seriously in love with it, I think it's extremely complimenting and I will probably be wearing it for the rest of the summer, woo!

When I first tried it on, I did wonder how to style it as the looseness of it means you have to wear tighter/tailored shorts, which is exactly what I went for, they're not tight but they look sort of tailored I think.

 I then randomly tried it on with a skirt whilst throwing outfits together, I didn't think of this when I first saw it as I thought, "oh the flowiness of it has to be the main attention, style around it", however once I tried it on with a skirt I loved it! I really think it makes the top look so much nicer and compliments me even more, making the perfect evening outfit, as you can see I went for an even more dressed up look by wearing these gorgeous heels.

Onto my next OOTN post from my holiday, Center Parcs as you may know is in a forest, so it's not a place to get extremely dressed up, if I'm honest I'd wear this outfit out even as a casual outfit however it is a more 'dressy' outfit than what I was wearing in the day.

I'm in love with this mint shirt, the back is just so lovely I think! I do however find it hard to style as ideally I'd like to wear it without a bra so my back is completely bare but as you can see, it is extremely sheer and well no one wants to see that do they! As I obviously did wear a bra, I thought how do I cover it? A bare bra I think looks a little bit tacky (sorry) so I decided to put a bandeau over it, I don't think this was the best solution as I think it just takes away the detail of the shirt unfortunately. For next time I wear the shirt, I think I'm going to try to look for either a stick on bra (we'll see how well I manage to wear one of those!) or a bra with 'invisible' straps and back, you know the ones?

Aztec In The Forest

As you will know if you've read my post from last Monday, I have been in Center Parcs for a week. As the Internet was very temperamental there I decided to wait until I got back to post the OOTDs/OOTNs I had decided to write about, there is only 2 more after this as a lot of the days I wore similar outfits (shorts and a top) and it would just be very repetitive. 

I never normally wear jewellery, the most is earrings and on most days I forget to even put them in! Ever since I lost (sadly) my Thomas Sabo bracelet I just forget to wear arm jewellery as I had that on 24/7, so when I remembered I had this bracelet/ring duo I immediately packed it and swore myself to wearing it at least once.

As I had these gold and 'diamond' earrings in already all day, I thought it would be the perfect chance to wear the bracelet, the gold accents added some colour to the black and white outfit as well as going with the gold studs on the shoes.

Collaboration: Columbian Fashion

This week I set up an account with IFB (independent fashion bloggers) it's a great platform for getting your blog noticed and meeting and interacting with other bloggers with similar interests/blogs to you.

Through IFB I started speaking to Tatiana who runs the blog brujuladelamoda.com and we decided to collaborate together. After having to admit rather embarrassingly I didn't know how to add her on what's app, she added me and we started to talk about what we should do to collaborate. Tatiana came up with a great idea of interviewing each other about the fashion in our countries, she asked me questions about fashion in London and the UK which you can see here and then it was my turn to ask her.

Question 1

"What are the current trends in Colombia?"

Answer

"In Colombia the inspiration is Europe, Medellin, my city, is the fashion capital in my country. We have many designers and the current trends are a lot of jeans with boots or sandal, a hippie chic style but the culture in Medellin is like look with the trends in other countries like London, New York and Paris."

Question 2

"What would you say are your season 'must haves'?"

Answer

"In my country we don't have seasons, because its a tropical country, all the time is the same. The must haves are for example, a black skirt, white t-shirt, blazer in different colours, and very elegant heels, and it is very important to have many things in denim."

Question 3

"Do you personally follow trends or do you prefer to dress however you want? Also do a lot of people in your country break out of trends?"

Answer

"I think the best position is to be in the middle point, it's important to know the trends for me and my work but the style is the most important. It's a mix between trends and style."

I'd like to say a huge thank you to Tatiana and I'm so glad she suggested collaborating as it made feel like I'd reached a milestone in my blogging and has actually made me want to put a lot more effort into my blog to make it better and bigger.
