NEW IN: Zara Sale

To begin, I must announce...
Yesterday marked a year since starting my blog, so Happy Birthday intheeyeof-this!

Last Thursday, Zara launched their sale. This excited me a lot as I love Zara! Finally on Wednesday my order came and it was like Christmas opening this box.
I thought I'd show you what I bought, however, unfortunately it appears that all of what I bought is no longer available, so I apologise. Although, there is many beautiful other things you can find if you're interested!

First, possibly my favourite item I bought.
This is a Printed Peplum Top. I adore the pattern and cut, I think it is so flattering. It is made of a swimming suit material, which makes it very comfortable.
It was only £9.99 so I just could not resist!

Next, a simple item, but always needed.
This Black Basic T-shirt is a simple piece that I just couldn't reason not to buy.
It is always wise to have quite a few basic pieces floating about as they can easily make an outfit if you're not sure what to buy.
This was also from the TRF/Trafaluc Collection for only £7.99.

I've been searching for a new bag for a while now for next year at sixth form as my current bag is falling apart - thanks to me leaving an orange in there for a week & having to cut it out! EW.
I saw this bag, which I thought would be similar to the one I currently have (the Zara Office City Bag) as this was called the 'Combined Office Citybag'. I also really liked the little red pouch that could be taken out.
However, when I took it out of the box, I realised it was a lot smaller than I originally thought, therefore, I am not sure if I'm going to use it for sixth form or even keep it.
Although it is a gorgeous bag, so perhaps I'll just keep it for casual use.
This bag is still available but in a different colour, here - I'm starting to wish I'd got the other one, oops.
It was £29.99 reduced from £39.99.

The next three things I know I am not keeping.

First, this Yellow Loose Fit Shirt. I think the colour is lovely, however it just doesn't suit me personally.
The fit is loose like stated, and it is a lovely silky material.
It was £15.99 from the TRF/Trafaluc collection.

Next is this gorgeous white blouse with lace-like sleeves and a silky centre.
I actually love this top, however, rather annoyingly, it has a hole in the left arm which can be seen below.
As this is no longer available I am unable to exchange it for another, so I will just be returning it.
This was £19.99.

Second, is this Black Shopper Bag.
As I said, I am looking for a new bag for sixth form & I decided to order two to see which I preferred.
Unfortunately again, this bag was much smaller than I thought it was going to be.
This will also be returned to Zara, it was £12.99.

That's it for my Zara Sale Haul. I believe the sale is still ongoing, so be sure to check it out!
I have to say, I am quite disappointed about my items, but I'm all for trying things & sending them back if they aren't quite right.

Daily Bag Essentials

Today, I have a daily bag essentials post.
The bag I use is a small black Ted Baker shopper bag with a pink bow on the front. This is no longer sold by Ted Baker but a similar one can be found here

As you can see, I try to take a bare minimum, taking only the essentials I need.

Inside my bag is:
Collection of car keys, house keys & Tesco Clubcard
Extra Chewing Gum
Hand Sanitizer
Hand Cream
Primark Sunglasses
Hairbands

I hope you like this insight to my handbag.
I love seeing what others carry in their handbags, so I thought you may too!
What are you daily bag essentials?

Romantic Bike Trip

A few weekends ago, the weather decided to perk up after a drizzly grey week, so my best friend - Jenni - and I decided to go for a little bike trip & picnic.
I thought I'd document the day for you.
Unfortunately, as shown in the pictures the bike Jennifer took decided to blow up! Which meant she had the difficult task of half riding, half walking the bike home. Sorry Jenni...

Clearly trying very hard to fix the blown tyre.

I hope you enjoyed this different post for today.
It was a cute little day & I cannot wait for it to be summer so I can go on lots of bike rides - hopefully without broken tyres this time!

Here are Jenni's links if you're interested in seeing more of her beautiful face!

MAY Favourites

Would you believe we're already half way through the year! It seems to be the older you get, the quicker the years pass... can I be Peter Pan & never grow up, please?
Anyway, as per tradition, here are my monthly favourites.

*disclaimer: Please excuse the funny colour of the pictures, I'm not too sure what has happened*

To start with, I have been crushing hard on these Topshop Joni jeans. I've worn them almost every weekend since purchasing them at the end of April. I'm all over Joni jeans, they're now my favourite Topshop jeans. It used to be the Leigh Jeans, sorry Leigh... The fit is just perfect! & due to the fact they're high waisted, they go with a wide variety of tops.
Here is my last post featuring these gorgeous jeans.

My next favourite is most definitely my new iPhone 5s in Gold. I am so in love with it, I've been waiting a long, long time to upgrade which I finally did the second week of May! I had been spying this phone for such a long time, since it first appeared on the market, so I was over the moon when I finally upgraded to it.

Another Topshop item! I cannot explain how much I adore this dress!
I have a huge love for anything striped at the moment, so this was a great addition to a vastly growing collection.
I have also had my eye on this for an extremely long time. I tried it on a few months ago, however at the time I didn't feel very happy in it, so I decided it wasn't for me.
I then saw it in the 'Last Chance To Buy' rail in my local Topshop, and thought I'd give it one last try because I really did love how it looked on the hanger.
As soon as I put it on I fell in love with it and knew I had to snap it up! It was only £29 which really is not bad for Topshop. I bought it in a size 6 Petite as I liked the fit, however that resulted in it appearing very short, so I will be wearing shorts underneath it. No one wants to see my bum, trust me.
Unfortunately, it is only available now in the 'Tall' range, unless you manage to find it in your local store.

Surprisingly, my last 'item' favourite is also Topshop. I don't think I've ever posted about Topshop so much. That is mostly down to the fact that I've only recently started shopping in Topshop - I know, how amateur of me.
My legs are not that brown (although I wish they were) so please excuse that.
They were quite a spur of the moment buy. My niece & I went for a little browse round town, and both fell in love at first sight with these. She opted for the black, whilst I picked up the white.
I am also loving the all white look for this season, and the croc effect on these give it a touch of difference which I adore. For only £20, I could not resist these beauties! I'm also thinking of purchasing some different colours; I can see an obsession starting... help!
I cannot wait to wear them paired with the stripe dress above on holiday this summer, which I am not yet going to reveal where that is...

Favourite film of the month; Bad Neighbours. Zac Efron. Topless. What more could you want? It is a very funny film & I definitley recommend.

Favourite song; I don't actually have a favourite song this month. Instead, I'd have to say Soundcloud. I've been loving my playlists on there this month, which is full of so many different songs. You can find my Soundcloud here.

Favourite app; Depop. I've not sold anything on there yet but I love scrolling through my feed. My niece however is selling lots of Topshop clothing, which can be found here.

Favourite 'random' of the month; driving. I absolutely love driving & I cannot wait to pass my test, giving me the freedom I want! As well as this, I'm just smitten with my little car, he really is the best.

Favourite day; 30th May. This was the day my baby niece was born. She really is the cutest little chunky monkey ever! You can see a picture of me with her here, on my Instagram.

That's it for my monthly favourites! What have been your favourites?
