Holidaying: Center Parcs

As I write this post I am on my way to Center Parcs for my holiday this summer!
Ill be spending a week in the gorgeous forest holiday park, this is where I go for my summer holidays every year and whilst a lot of people may prefer to go abroad and sun it up in somewhere like sunny Ibiza, I actually really love the time I spend here and I wouldn't change it for another holiday! A little fun fact for you: my family have been going there every year for 17 years, sometimes twice a year, therefore me being 16 I have been every single year of my life. We've also been to every single Center Parcs, today we're going to Elveden Forest - our favourite of them all.

I thought I'd share with you what I'm wearing on my travel there - sorry if the photos aren't top quality, I had to use my iPad quickly before we came out.

Summer Must Haves!

          Follow my blog with Bloglovin

1. Camera - any camera for summer is a definite must have! If I'm going somewhere I know I'll get some great pictures, eg. trips out and that, I'll take my canon, however as its quite bulky, I often use either my iPhone or iPad. I also have a Sony hand camera but that doesn't get as much use anymore.

2. Good Playlist - for anything you do in summer, you need to have a good playlist! Generally, I just listen to the same music all year round, but when it comes to summer I do tend to listen to more upbeat songs as they make me feel more happy.

3. Summery perfume - my favourite is Lady Gaga Fame as it just smells so fruity and flowery, the ideal scent of summer, and although I'd wear it all year round, it is a great scent for summer.

4. iPad/tablet - the reason I think this is a summer must have is because the mobility of them is so ideal! Generally in summer I go out a lot more, as well as going on holiday so it means it provides entertainment and as I like to spend most (all) my time on the Internet (please tell me I'm not the only one) it means I can go on it wherever I go. It's bigger than a phone so you can have access more things that may be inaccessible on a phone yet smaller than a computer (unless you have a notebook) so it's easier to carry around!

5. Bright nail varnish - whilst my finger nails are actually too short to paint (blame that on anxiety and my need to bite them) I do like to have a nice colour on my toe nails. This colour especially as it is a bright blue - my favourite colour - and just looks so summery.

6. Big bag - I recently got this bright pink bag, I admit it is a little lary and I would kind of rather it be I'm another colour but I couldn't pass it up. First of all, it has three sections, a zip pocket in the middle which is just the right size for my iPad, then two sections either side which clip together. It fits so much in it that you wouldn't expect just by looking it, to make it easier to hold it would be good for it to have a long strap however the handles are big enough to fit over your shoulder so it's not too bad. Secondly, the colour isn't actually too bad for summer, it's bright and can add a pop of colour to any outfit.

7. Books - if it wasn't for me actually doing A level English from September I wouldn't necessarily read these two books and I would actually use my kindle instead, however I would definitely say a book or two are a summer must have. You may be thinking "oh Alice you're such a bore reading books" but I honestly just find them great! They're ideal for when you go on holiday and you're sitting by the pool or if like me you only go to Centre Parcs (which is actually the best holiday ever!) and are just chilling not sure of what to do, you can whip out a book and you'll be surprised how quickly time goes by.

8. Flower garland - as you know if you've read my other posts, I am so in love with this flower garland, it's amazing how much better it can make your hair look - for example, right now as I write this I am wearing it as I am suffering with an extreme case of bad hair day - it just screams summer and as soon as I put it on I feel so much better!

That's my summer must haves! What are yours?

OOTD: Casual Sunday

Sorry the photos are all over the place, I can't quite get them to work how I want to!
Anyway, if you live in England right now, especially in the Essex area, you will know it has been quite the dream recently with the amount of sunny weather we've been having (bound to disappear soon however)!
As it was warm I thought I'd put on my shorts, I haven't worn shorts in a whole because if I'm honest I've just felt so unconfident with my body but hey ho, I was only going to my sisters house so I thought f**k it! I ended up spending the day in my bikini anyway!

Shorts: Topshop
Boob Tube: Tesco (they're great as they have inner support around the boobs)
Shirt: Topshop
Shoes: Converse
Bag: Primark

WISHLIST: July Edition

So there seems to be a bit of a blue theme going on, in case you didn't know blue is actually my favourite colour!

1. Light Blue Nike Blazers. I know they've been around for so long, I've been wanting them since I first laid eyes on them and every time I see them I want them more. They'll be on my wish-list for a while I think.

2. Blue Topshop bikini. Unfortunately this is actually not on sale from Topshop anymore however I really do want it so I shall be hunting it down!

3. Blue Fujifilm Polaroid. I honestly can't explain how much I want this. I have wanted a Polaroid my whole life and always used to mess around with my dads Polaroid when I was younger. The colour is so perfect in my opinion and I genuinely think this will be on my wish list until Christmas!

4. Duffel Bag Topshop. The pattern of this bag is quite wild however I really do like it. I recently bought a cheap duffel bag from Primark but I think I'd really like to invest in this one.

I know this was only a short wish list however I just haven't really seen anything else I'm really wanting.

OOTD: Summer Dress and Denim Jacket

Hello!

silly me squinting because of the sun!
If you live in Britain, you will know yesterday (Sunday) was an extremely hot & sunny day!
I took advantage of this and saw it as an opportunity to bring out the white summer dress I had recently bought from Primark. It was only £5 what a bargain!

I got really excited about the fact it was sunny

I teamed the dress with an acid wash denim jacket (also Primark - £12) and white Converse high tops.

Not a model I swear

You could say I find the trees in my garden interesting?

I decided to wear my flower garland I had recently bought from Primark (again!), I thought it really brought the outfit together and emphasised the 'girlyness' of the outfit.

Excuse the moody face!

As I was going out, I obviously needed a handbag so I used this brown bag which was given to me about a month ago by my mum.

I really love this outfit as I think it's flattering and very summery, to make it more girly, I could have worn ballet pump type shoes, however I think the Converse give the outfit a more casual look.

That's my first OOTD post for this blog and taking the photos was actually really fun, thank you to my little brother who was my 'photographer' he's the best! OOTD are one of my favourite posts to look at so I hope you enjoyed this!

JUNE favourites

Hello lovelies!

Can you believe it is already July?! Only 5 months until Christmas ;)
I thought I'd tell you my favourites of June.

My first favourite would have to be this Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer, I have the shade Classic Beige & it is perfect for me!

I was looking for a good concealer for a while that actually worked and trust me, this does! It brightens up my whole face when I have it on even though I only put it under my eyes, it is perfect at covering dark rings - which I must say I do get a lot of! - and for the whole of June, I have been wearing no foundation just this! I would most definitely recommend it as it also lasts for a long time.

Next is the River Island Paris perfume which I recently done a review on here.
I won't go into too much detail as I have already wrote a lot about it in my review post, but this going to be my go to summer scent I can tell.

I've also been loving my flower garland (see it featured in my summer OOTD here), it's perfect for summer and I have always wanted to buy one but have never really found one I really 'love', however I saw this in Primark for only £1.50 and thought how could I not buy it!

The next is something not beauty or fashion related but I've recently had my bedroom decorated and my mum bought me these gorgeous ceramic heart coasters which have come in so handy. They came in a pack of four and they're just perfect to put on the side so things don't mark my surfaces.

Now onto 'random' things I've been loving this month!
First of all, my favourite film: okay, can we just take a moment to appreciate Batman...

Okay, moment over.
So I watched The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises this month and I will happily raise my hand and say, by the end of the Dark Knight Rises I was covered in a pool of tears. You may be thinking 'Alice, why would you cry at an ACTION movie?!', I honestly can't explain how emotional it made me! It went from being sad emotional to extremely happy emotional, I'm a very strange person.

Next is my song of the month and that is definitely So Good To Me by Chris Malinchak, it is the most perfect summer song in my opinion and for some reason whenever I listen to it I have this great sense of nostalgia wash over me. The moment I hear the song I instantly feel so serene and calm.

Moving onto my app of the month, I'm going to have to go with Instagram. I've always been into Instagram but at the beginning of May I started a new themes account (@wonderlandalice_) as people on my personal were getting annoyed with the themed pictures! Having only had the account for 2 months I'm so surprised to already have 800+ followers and it means a lot to me as I have started to put a lot of effort into the photos I upload.

Lastly, this one may seem a bit weird but my favourite DAY of June was the 24th and that is for one reason... I FINISHED MY GCSE's, after building up to them for three years the amount of pressure and stress that felt lifted from me as I walked out of that exam was amazing!

Anyway this has to be my longest post I've written on this blog therefore I will end it there!
